About Undergraduate Student/Faculty Research Projects
The Center for Academic Excellence (CAE) works with undergraduate students interested in developing creative projects and research experience with an Alverno College faculty member.
The CAE provides support for undergraduate student scholarship using a mentoring framework under the guidance of faculty. These projects offer the possibility of significant scholarly achievement by all those involved. Advanced learning in a disciplinary or interdisciplinary area is required.
Qualified undergraduate students will strengthen their scholarly abilities through extensive mentorship and professional collaboration with the faculty mentor. Students must also demonstrate their learning through a public demonstration of the project work that can be highlighted and promoted by the CAE.
Applications
Before applying, undergraduate students must discuss their project proposals with their faculty research mentor or a member of the CAE.
Applications are accepted throughout the year and must be submitted at least one month before the project start date.
