"Status of Girls in Wisconsin" report continues to have an impact

Alverno College's "Status of Girls in Wisconsin" report continues to be the focus of media across the state. The eye-opening report looks at the challenges facing girls in our state including sexual violence and human trafficking; stress, depression and suicide; bullying; TV, online and social media engagement; and substance use. The report also highlights good news about Wisconsin girls, including declining rates of teen pregnancy and smoking; high school graduation rates; and higher scores in English language arts. WISN TV's president and general manager did an editorial on the report, and Jodi Eastberg, executive director of the Research Center for Women and Girls, appeared on Our Issues Milwaukee (My 24 and CW 18) and Wisconsin Weekend Morning Newson AM 620 WTMJ.
