How Two Alverno College Students are Engaging Their Peers in the Election
Thanks to the COVID-19, the 2020 election is like no other. Because many of the people who typically work at the polls are senior citizens, the pandemic has caused a lot of them to opt out this election, resulting in a shortage of poll workers. Two Alverno students have been working tirelessly to recruit college students to work at the polls on Election Day. They’ve also been working to get college students registered to vote, and spreading the word about the importance of voting early. Spectrum News 1 visited campus and interviewed them to learn why they've been so involved.
