Girls Summit Will Feature Keynote Speaker Mari Copeny
The second annual State of Wisconsin Girls Summit will take place this weekend. This year’s event focuses on civic leadership and will feature keynote speaker Mari Copeny, who is also known as “Little Miss Flint” for her activism around the water crisis in Flint, Mich. Our Issues Milwaukee interviewed both Jodi Eastberg, executive director of the Alverno College Research Center for Women and Girls, and Mari Copeny ahead of the event.
