Alverno College Names New Director of Undergraduate Admissions and Director of Graduate Admissions
Alverno College has named Chris Remington Director of Undergraduate Admissions, and Janet Stikel Director of Graduate Admissions. In his role, Remington will oversee recruitment for undergraduate programs while Stikel will manage recruitment for graduate programs. Both will also play an active role in all Admissions communications and recruitment strategies.
Remington brings 11 years of admissions and recruitment experience to the College. Prior to joining Alverno, he worked for Trivera Interactive where he was vice president of Client Strategy and Business Development. He has also worked for Columbia College of Nursing, Saint Joseph High School in Kenosha, Bradley University in Peoria, Ill. and Carthage College in Kenosha in admissions, recruitment, development and marketing roles.
Stikel is being promoted from her current role as associate director of Graduate and Adult Admissions, a position she has held since 2013. She will now oversee all graduate and adult admissions operations and recruitment strategies, attend recruitment events and lead the recruitment counselors. Stikel has worked at Alverno since 2007 when she was hired as an undergraduate transfer counselor. Prior to coming to Alverno, she worked as a social services coordinator for Aurora Adult Day Center.
“We are really excited to have Chris join our team because he brings a wealth of experience in admissions and recruitment, as well as marketing strategy,” said Kate Lundeen, vice president of Enrollment Service for Alverno College. “And Janet has been a strong leader, helping to grow our graduate and adult programs. This is a well-deserved promotion for her.”
Remington earned his Bachelor's degree in Communications from Saint Norbert College is De Pere, Wis., and his Master's degree in Administration from the University of Notre Dame in Notre Dame, Ind. Stikel earned her Bachelor's degree in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, and her Master's degree in English from Mount Mary University.
