Bestowing of the Kente
Join us in honoring our African American graduates in a special ceremony!
The Bestowing of the Kente is a rite of passage recognizing African American students who are graduating seniors, earning a master's degree, or completing a certification program. Each honoree chooses someone to present her with a Kente cloth, a colorful, hand-woven, ceremonial piece.
The ceremony begins at 10:30 a.m. and a reception will be held starting at 11:15 a.m.
