About the Program

Our flexible online program begins with the 30-credit Master of Science in Educational Psychology, which counts toward the more advanced 60-credit Educational Specialist in School Psychology (EdS) degree.

First, you’ll gain hands-on experience applying your skills and knowledge in a school setting, under the supervision of a practicing school psychologist.

Beyond the classroom, you’ll complete a 600-hour practicum and then work full-time as a school psychology intern, accumulating 1,200 hours of real-world experience. We’ll work with you to find practicum and internship placements in our extensive network that align with your location and interests.

Alverno has been very supportive and gives us the tools that we need to succeed in the program. Our instructors give us feedback and the opportunity to try again, which helps us grow. And as a working mom, I appreciated that our classes met every other weekend.
