Art Therapy Helps Transform Pain Into Power

Alverno recently hosted an event with Battle Scar Kids, an organization founded by Jamar Jackson-Wilson, a Milwaukee native. His mission is to help teens process their trauma through art, helping them turn their pain into power. Alverno art therapy students helped by leading an exercise using scratch boards. CBS 58 was on campus for the event and featured it on their CBS 58 Sunday Morning program.
