Mariana Sanabria has been named Vice President of Enrollment Services for Alverno College. In this role, Sanabria will oversee the Admissions and Financial Aid departments, leading strategic enrollment initiatives and outcomes while providing vision and leadership to the college in all areas of enrollment management and financial aid. She will also serve as a member of the executive team, participating in institution-wide enrollment strategy planning and policy development. She will start on February 24.
“I am delighted to welcome Mariana Sanabria as the new Vice President of Enrollment Services at Alverno,” said Christy L. Brown, president of Alverno College. “Mariana is a skillful recruitment leader, and she’s passionate about empowering our undergraduate women and all graduate students to reach their highest potential.”
Sanabria has more than 17 years of higher education admissions experience. She will be transitioning from her current role as the Director of Undergraduate Admissions at Mount Mary University. Prior to that, she was the Assistant Director of Recruitment at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. In addition, Sanabria is no stranger to Alverno, having worked both as a graduate admissions counselor and experience coordinator.
"I am excited to return to the Alverno community to continue my commitment to students and families as they embark on the transformative experience an Alverno education will grant them,” said Sanabria. "Alverno is where I first combined my background and knowledge of women's history and advising to help students attain access to higher education, and I understand the essential role women's colleges play in the continued growth, empowerment and elevation of our graduates in the workforce and their communities."
Sanabria earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology & Women’s Studies from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor, and a Master of Education in Counseling – College Student Development from DePaul University.
