Cultural rites of passage

At Commencement, we offer students to celebrate their heritage as well as thank and honor those who have supported them along their college journeys. These opportunities include the Bestowing of the Kente, Latinas con Fuerza and Asian American Rite of Passage ceremonies (pictured above). 

Graduating students who would like to participate in this beautiful ritual must complete a participation form and purchase a stole. Family, friends and loved ones are welcome to attend. No ticket is necessary for this event, and a reception will immediately follow. Contact graduation@alverno.edu with questions.
