BIOGRAPHY
Stefani Magnowski is an instructor of nursing at Alverno College, where she has taught since 2021. She also serves as the chair of the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program and chair of the Graduate Nursing Curriculum Committee (GNCC).
Prior to teaching at Alverno, Magnowski taught at Marquette University in both their undergraduate and graduate nursing programs. Her nursing career began in a general medical and surgical intensive care unit before transitioning into emergency medicine. She also worked in urgent care, internal medicine, disease management and military nursing before developing an interest in behavioral health and leadership. Magnowski worked as an inpatient child and adolescent psychiatric nurse manager before becoming a system manager of quality for Rogers Behavioral Health. She later became Director of Nursing in behavioral health at Aurora Health Care before being promoted to Chief Nursing Officer at Aurora Psychiatric Hospital.
Magnowski earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Carroll University in Waukesha, Wis., her Master of Science in Nursing Education from Excelsior College in Albany, N.Y., and her Doctor of Nursing Practice in Executive Leadership from American Sentinel University in Aurora, Col.
