Syneathia LaGrant, EdD '07
Dr. Syneathia LaGrant is an expert in human resources, adult learning, talent management, and leadership development. She brings more than 20 years of experience working in human resources. Her experience includes managing global teams and programming for multi-national organizations including MolsonCoors Beverage Company, Fiserv Inc, and Johnson Controls, Inc. In her current role with ManpowerGroup, she leads the Talent Management function that includes the following: enterprise-wide capability building, leadership development initiatives, high potential development, succession planning, culture initiatives, and diversity equity, inclusion and belonging. She is responsible for setting the strategy and implementation of these areas across brands and regions.
Syneathia holds a BA from Bradley University, a Master’s in Adult Education from Alverno College and is a member of the Vanguard Society. Syneathia earned her doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania. Her doctoral dissertation is entitled Beyond Belonging: Identifying Critical and Conflicting Factors in Women’s Career Progressions. Her research explored the impact of a sense of belonging on a woman’s success trajectory in large organizations.
She is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and serves as a board member for the Marcus Center for Performing Arts, Alverno College Board of Trustees, the African American Leadership Alliance of Milwaukee, and All-in Milwaukee. She is married to Robert and is the proud mother of Brendan and Marcus.
