About Travel Fellowship Grants
The Center for Academic Excellence (CAE) offers Travel Fellowship grants of up to $500 for undergraduate students. The grants can be used to cover travel costs to attend academic and professional experiences such as research project presentations and conferences. Not all expenses are automatically covered in an approved application.
Eligibility guidelines
To be eligible for a Travel Fellowship grant, students must be Alverno undergraduates in good standing and have completed 12 Alverno credits successfully. Applications are approved by the CAE Travel Fellowship committee.
Timeline
Travel Fellowship grant applications may be submitted year-round, but all application materials must be received at least one month prior to the dates students plan to travel and before they pay for any expenses they want included.

Students must submit an application that requires: a list of all anticipated expenses; a narrative statement that explains how the proposed travel will help them achieve academic, intellectual or professional goals; how their academic career has prepared them for this travel experience; and the name of a faculty or staff member who will write a letter of recommendation.
